For us, sustainability goes beyond reducing our impact. It means protecting the nature that surrounds us, keeping the identity of the territory alive, and contributing to the well-being of the people who are part of it.
At Talaia Plaza EcoResort, we are aware of the consequences and impacts generated by our tourism activity in the destination. That is why, in our day to day, we strive for a business model committed to sustainability and social responsibility, where we defend trust, respect, and human rights to make Begur a clean, safe, prosperous, and healthy destination to visit, live, and work.
At Talaia Plaza EcoResort, we continuously work towards the general well-being above individual interests, in order to increase efficiency and safeguard the natural and social environment.
Local gastronomy
Authentic flavor and commitment to our land. At Talaia we bet on a local cuisine that combines the fresh ingredients from our own organic garden with carefully selected local products. A sustainable proposal where each recipe highlights the traditional flavors of Empordà.
Nature
Talaia is part of a unique natural environment, and we understand that taking care of it is an essential part of our way of doing things. We work to reduce our water and energy consumption, minimize waste, and protect the biodiversity that is part of the EcoResort itself.
Our organic garden. We grow vegetables, fruits, and aromatic plants that go directly to the kitchen of our restaurant.
Our bees. Our own beehives contribute to the biodiversity of the environment and allow us to produce our own honey.
Green Tour. We invite our guests to discover the native and invasive flora of the EcoResort and our reforestation project.
We take care of our resources. Local water sources, reduction of single-use plastics, monitoring of consumption, and energy efficiency measures.

We believe that traveling is also about discovering. That’s why we bring our guests closer to the flavors, the people, and the traditions that make Empordà unique.
We choose local products, local suppliers, and experiences that allow you to get to know the territory in an authentic way.
From the garden to the table
Part of the ingredients we grow in our own garden are used in the restaurant’s kitchen.
Origen Organic Shop
A store designed to bring our guests and the community closer to local and ecological products. Its philosophy is “keep it local”, prioritizing products grown within a 100 km radius and working with local producers. It also focuses on bulk purchases and reducing single-use packaging.
Education and participation
Not only do we protect the territory. We share it and help people to get to know it
LEARNING BY PLAYING
The commitment to the environment is also transmitted to the new generations.
In collaboration with Fundación Plaza Terra Viva, we organize different environmental education activities so that the youngest can learn, create, and discover while enjoying nature.

Through our Plaza Terra Viva Foundation, we support initiatives aimed at improving the social, cultural, economic, and environmental conditions of Begur, working for a positive and lasting impact on the people, fauna, and flora of our territory.

Traveling sustainably doesn’t mean giving up comfort. It means choosing more consciously.
Water
Use our water sources and reuse your bottle.
Room
Cleaning and changing of textiles are done under our responsible consumption model; every 3 days and it is a room touch-up that includes cleaning the accommodation and changing towels and sheets
Waste
Use the available separation points correctly.
We also collect coffee capsules to ensure proper management.
Share what's left
At the end of your stay, you can leave the food that you will not consume in the baskets available at reception. We will deliver them to Caritas so that they can be put to good use.
Mobility
We have charging points for electric vehicles.
Nature
Enjoy the environment without disrupting its balance.
Community
By staying with us you contribute to our environment.
For each booking, we donate 1€ to Fundación Plaza Terra Viva to support social, cultural, economic, and environmental projects in our area.
